    Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group is undergoing an antimonopoly investigation by the People’s Bank of China (PBOC), and fintech company Ant Group—one-third owned by Alibaba—is also facing scrutiny. However, even if Alibaba’s wings do get clipped, VanEck Emerging Markets Equity Portfolio Manager David Semple believes it won’t take away from the company’s underlying structural growth thesis.
